Here's the finished sticks. They're far from perfect, but I learned a lot of lessons and will hopefully be able to improve my next batch of sticks down the road.

That woodwork is pretty impressive.
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

Thank yah! I wanted to show off my better looking wiring management. That was some of the feedback I got from the first stick I posted a while back.

Thank yah, too! My crappy phone camera happily hides most of the mistakes, but I'll be a darn good woodworker one day.

Now I'm a bit afraid to ask what kind of posters you stick on your walls :o

mistakes I noticed. Cracks from drill holes. And...uhh...slightly oversized cases?

My friend made the artwork from http://www.righteousindignationli.com/. He does a lot of work with concert flyers, t-shirts, and album covers. I love his cartoony and grotesque style (thought it would fit well with video games!)

Yeah, some drill cracks on that piece of plexi and the actual cut of the plexi is off on the octopus stick. I'd have to do more sanding to fit it in, but I'm lazy now that it's done. Also the wood itself has some measurement/cutting problems which aren't very apparent from the photos, but they bug me in real life. As for the size of the stick 8) - it's about the same size as a hori or madcatz current gen stick.

My main complaint is that the cases on sticks for consoles are too small?

Perfect size in my book. I don't want to hold my stick like a controller.

The Arcade Sticks look great. I wouldn't worry about the slight errors, its what makes them yours! Did you take any more pics of the electrical portion of the mod during the soldering? Maybe add a paragraph on the layout of the wiring and solder points involved?

Interesting how the Console or PC can be selected.
Focus wrote:http://www.focusattack.com/paewang/

Selecting consoles
When you begin using the Paewang Revolution PCB, it is in Xbox 360 mode by default. To use the Paewang Revolution with a PS3 console or PC, hold down the Turbo button just before connecting the joystick's USB cable to your PS3 console or PC. This will change the default mode of the Paewang Revolution to PS3/PC.To change the default mode of Paewang Revolution back to Xbox 360, simply repeat the process by holding down the Turbo button before plugging into the Xbox 360 console.
