I've built three cabinets now:

Second cocktail for a friend: http://www.stickfreaks.com/images/savvymame/
I'm in the process of converting an old LAI lowboy to MAME at the moment (15KHz monitor and J-Pac).

The easiest solution is to buy and restore a jamma cab and just buy a mame pc with a jamma adapter. I have a couple of friends who did that. It's still not the same as playing on the real pcbs though.
