Thank god for emulation is all I'm gonna say. I have one more obscure, japanese beat'em up I want to add to the list, but I'm going to wait until two or three more posts are made. Don't want to hog the thread

Here's a cool vid of the original japanese arcade version of Undercover Cops. I'd say the Super Famicom port holds up well, though the arcade version is still noticeable better. God that soundtrack rocks!!!Gamerforlife wrote:CFFJR wrote:Damn it Gamer, stop posting cool games that I can't afford!![]()

Battle Clash was, is and will always be the killer app of the Super Scope. Super Scope 6, Yoshi's Safari and a few others are enjoyable, but nothing compares to Battle Clash. Even the techincally superior sequal, Metal Combat can't hold a candle to Battle Clash.
For those who missed out on it, its a first person arcade style lightgun shooter where you 1 on 1 battle other giant mechs. The key is to carefully aim your shots to take out weakpoints, but you can also do things like aim all your shots at a leg to cripple the opponent and immobilize them. The different ways you can defeat your opponents is what keeps the game fresh every time you play it.
Also, it was Battle Clash that thought me where and what Oceania is! And they used to say videogames aren't educational...

Re: Lets name the Top 200 SNES games
-Breath of Fire I & II aswell as FF III go without saying.
-FFII & FF Mystic Quest deserve a mention as they are overlooked.
-Zombies ate My Neighbors although popular I feel as if many gamers may hold off with so many Snes games to want, but dont this at least a top 5 snes game!
Now for the real dirty gems
-Equinox,I maybe the only person to get deep in this game as I cant find much info on this one.
Its a Isometric type dungeon crawing/adventure/puzzle/platformer.The overworld map is pretty horrid to look at to todays standards but once you enter a dungeon (where the real action is) the graphics pickup alot.
Equinox is tough at first but once you get thru the first couple areas, you should have aquired a few items to aid your quest.
-Young Merlin in vein of Snes adventure era I present to you this game. While not as good as Link to the Past,I still encourage many to check this out if you like Adventure/lite RPGs.It definitley yells budget title but is obscure enough to have a good laugh and intrest.

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Re: Lets name the Top 200 SNES games

Ghost Chaser Densei is a port of the arcade game Denjin Makai. It was only released in Japan. It has a lot of moves, some cool tag team attacks, a nice knock back move for when you get up off the ground, the ability to block attacks, and has a special, rechargeable meter for special attacks. I'm always a fan of beat'em ups where you don't have to sacrifice health for special attacks. It has a very nice combo system too for skilled players. Here's a video to show you some of the moves and combos
and here's two vids showing some of the cool tag team attacks
If you skip ahead to 0.58 in this vid, you see one player throw an enemy that gets caught in mid-air and slammed to the ground by the other player
The Denjin Makai series is pretty cool and is known for large move sets and great combos. There was actually a Denjin Makai 2 in arcades that is pretty amazing, just check out the video
Amazing combo
Some bad ass solo gameplay
Some co-op
I love the hilarious first boss in that last vid who poses for his fans and has a camera man filming the battle

Harvest Moon

A great game, that led into a great series. The series itself has started to get too cutesy and less rancher, but this entry to the series will always be great. Also a rarity stateside. Plus, there's cows.

Joe & Mac is a completely excellent translation of one of the better arcade games to hit the scene in the early 90s. Great single player or co-op, the visuals are really what makes the game stand out. It's still a beautiful game all these years later. And who could forget that stage select theme music? HEY!
