Is Snatcher a Long Game?

Post by racketboy »

I haven't played through it all, so I'm not sure how much time we should devote to it on Together Retro?
Should we do a full month like we did with Lunar, or is it significantly shorter?

It is significantly shorter. I beat it in a few days when I played it.

It's not horribly long and it's very linear so you can get through it relatively quickly by simply looking around carefully, paying attention and making logical choices. That is, unless you want to see some of the negative reactions you'll get. Even at that, they tend to steer you back to the straight and narrow by not letting you progress until you provide the appropriate response. There's certainly no "depends-on-what-you-do branching" like there is in games such as Rise Of The Dragon.

There's no leveling up, so it's a lot quicker than most RPGs. I got damn near to the end in a couple weeks, ended up getting stuck on one of the light gun battles.

I still don't have a light gun for the Sega CD. I have a couple atari XE light guns though, I may just make an adaptor.
