Hello, I've tried to search and see if anyone else is having this problem, but to no avail.
Whenever I use my dreamcast VGA adapter to my LCD Monitor, the signal comes through but the screen is very pinkish, all the colors aren't coming through or something. Anyone know how to resolve this?
Dreamcast VGA adapter giving pinkish screen
My first, and maybe dumb, question would be... have you tried anything else with this monitor? Are you sure that the issue is with the Dreamcast?
In the RGB spectrum, if you're getting pink where you should have white, you're missing green. If everything is pinkish, then your green signal might be low.
Try your Dreamcast with any other cable on a TV and see if you're still getting the same color problem.
The VGA box doesn't really do anything. All it does is tell the Dreamcast to output video in high res mode. So if the Dreamcast looks fine without the VGA box, there's a good chance it should look fine with the VGA box.
Aside from that, a short in the VGA cable could cause that. A short or simply dying VGA box could be making the green signal soft. I suppose the video encoder on the Dreamcast could be going too.
But my first slice of advise is make sure what is actually causing the problem:
1) Monitor
2) Cable
3) VGA Box
4) Dreamcast
By replacing, if possible, each of those in order (assuming you have an extra monitor to try).

Yeah definitely see if you can try it on another display
Is this one you bought from me? If so, contact me for a replacement if it seems consistent.
