-Beat any game that wasn't an FPS in the past 5 years.
-Make it more than a couple hours into an RPG. (Though, I think I might give Chrono Trigger another go)
-I've never beaten a Sonic game. Sad, I know..

Properly beat Magaki in KoFXI. Continue bonuses everytime. Even then, it's still a 90 minute ordeal.

Pulling off moves in fighters that require moving the control stick clockwise. It just feels unnatural doing that with my left hand. If I'm on the right side of the opponent, going back to the left becomes priority number one.

1)Pulling off really advanced combos in fighters, I always stuck with simple, short combos. What I loved about the versus games was that a short combo could still be devastating, like uppercutting someone into the air with Ryu, followed by a mid-air jab, short kick, right into a super hadouken
2)Much as I love arcade beat'em ups, I haven't 1cced many of them, but I always try. I've been getting really close on The Simpsons Arcade Game on PSN(that bastard final boss is where I have trouble), I think I've 1cced the arcade version of Golden Axe and I've beaten quite a few console beat'em ups without dying, but the arcade ones are generally always harder
3)Beating the original Battletoads, I've beaten the SNES sequel Battlemaniacs though. Battletoads Arcade may be the hardest one of all, but at least that one gives you infinite lives via quarters

I think BT would be much more bearable if getting a game over sent you back to the beginning of the level, or at least map (each map contains three levels for those that don't know) when you got a game over. Getting deep into the game only to get a game over is massively disappointing and frustrating.

Makes it a perfect candidate for emulation, but I don't think beating it via emulator really counts. Using the warps helps thoughGameMasterGuy wrote:I think BT would be much more bearable if getting a game over sent you back to the beginning of the level, or at least map (each map contains three levels for those that don't know) when you got a game over. I'm so glad 16-bit games starting focusing more on password systems to keep your progress. Did that start with the Castlevania series? I don't remember

I should actually clarify what I said in this post. I actually go for no death runs on beat'em ups. I said 1cc runs, but I'm really not satisfied by beating a beat'em up on 1 credit if I died at allGamerforlife wrote:1)Pulling off really advanced combos in fighters, I always stuck with simple, short combos. 1. Beating Mega Man X without the Hadouken.
2. Beating Super Ghouls N Ghosts period.
3. Beating Battletoads & Double Dragon.
4. Finishing a Final Fantasy besides (VI)6.
5. Tactics games.
6. Caring about my APM in StarCraft.
7. C-C-C-O-M-B-O Breaker.
can't think of anymore atm, lol.

Beating the original version of Metroid. I always get to a point where I have a bunch of energy tanks, and I get really low life. Then I spend freaking forever to refill it. Then when it happens again, I'm like "F it." And I give up. I've beaten the other Metroid games in the series and loved them, and have beaten the remake "Metroid: Zero Mission" a couple of times. I just don't have the patience it takes for the original, I suppose. I'll probably give it another shot soon, too! I keep trying.

...wait, do you mean you're able to get the Hadouken... but not beat the game without it? I can beat the game easily, but no-damaging a few stages in X1 is pretty tough, Armored Armadillos being at the top of the list. I'd say getting it is harder than beating Sigma.Hazerd wrote:1.
