Grabbed a couple games at a resale store today.
GBA
Classic NES Series Zelda II - $2
SNES - $2 each
NBA Jam TE
Home Alone 2
Gradius III
Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey and Minnie
Super Caesars Palace
I JUST missed out on a nice looking lot of SNES games I saw listed on Craigslist. It was an ad for a different resale shop listing the games they had in, including Mario World, A Link to the Past, Breath of Fire, Donkey Kong Country, Super Metroid and Mario RPG, for $3 each! I walked in to see the stack of games on the counter, pull out my wallet, and the guy at the counter goes "Sorry, that guy over there just bought all of these." I look over and it's this guy who owns a game shop nearby. What a day-ruiner that was.
Video Game "Look what I found"

Fuckin' resellers. Expect to see most of those on Ebay with jacked up prices. I hate 'em.

Seriously, I hate missing out on stuff because of them.

Oh c'mon - so you're saying if it was a game you already had, you'd pass it up at $3? I don't think so - you'd pay the $3 and flip it yourself. Come correct.

I said I don't like missing out on stuff because of them, I didn't say I wouldn't take the opportunity myself, and that wouldn't be me missing out. So I'm a selfish hypocrite. But 99% of the time I buy games to keep, the only time I "flip" stuff is if I buy a "lot" and it has a couple of extras that I don't need.

I was planning to buy that lot because, sadly, I still have absolutely none of those games. I only got my SNES a few months ago and I'm waiting to pick up games for it on the cheap end. (But in all honesty, I will admit I wanted the lot mainly for Mario RPG

Mainly when I buy extras of a game, it's generally one that isn't easy to come by, and I always give my friends the opportunity to buy it (or give it to them) first before putting it online.

Yup. That's what I'm saying. I've given away so much stuff this past year to people to get them into gaming, because I had extras. I always try to trade for stuff I don't have, but I NEVER try and sell out my child hood to make a profit. It loses it's appeal to me, if I were to do that.

I think you are thinking of yourself. I have never bought any game item for the purpose of selling. I might pick it up for somebody else but not to make a profit.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I have a rule when I go to yard sales: any games or video game accessories I see that are priced at less than $1, I buy. Most of that is to go on my trade list.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
The self-righteous givers of the b/s/t ooze out of the woodwork today, gag me. All of your friends must not be on racket - as i've never seen any of the (3) of you who have commented offer anything up at cost.
It's rather silly for someone to think they know what someone else is thinking.
But you're thought is smart. Let the person you pick it up for make the profit.
I've seen quite a few "finds of the day" posted here one day, and then put in the b/s/t a few days later, and magically the price has doubled / tripled, etc in the changeover from one thread to the other. Something the majority of us would do. The self-righteous act is incredibly lame.
