What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Not likely, Conan bombed hard.
I noticed it's rating was around 5/10 stars. I dunno why....It was good for what it was. People's standards for movies just keep going up and up.....or down, I'm not sure which yet.
Not just ratings-wise; (I haven't seen it myself, so I can't speak to its quality) it barely recouped half its budget.

I watched The Wicker Man last night (the original from 1973, not the remake). Wow, that movie was awesome. It's so creepy, and I love how the basic plot just puts a Christian man into a society dominated by a different religion, and suddenly all of his talk of God and Jesus is meaningless no matter how strange all of the other's religious ideas may seem. It's a very unnerving statement about how many of our beliefs, when not based on verifiable empiricism, are only validated by others believing in them too.

Really? I liked it a lot (Not enough to spend $23+ for it, but still). It may have started a bit slow, but once it picked up it kept me entertained the whole time. I kind of want to watch the English re-make now just so that I can compare the two, but all the negative reviews are very off-putting. Probably for the best that I skip it.

So it was good then?

I'm planning to see it, hopefully within the week.
