What did you do to my game?

Post by Erik_Twice »

Games can be tough, really tough. But you can make them suffer and cry, turning them into a pile of miserable chips begging for mercy. This thread is for these bugs, features or skillful play that are simply amazing to watch in what they do to the game.

I'm going to start with Out Run's "Geargacha" play where ludcicrous use of the gears allow you to go off-road without losing any speed. It was reportedly a big problem in Japan for operators since it stresses the gear handle a lot.

Yes. Personally, I turned 10 in 1998. There are a lot of people on this forum around my age too I reckon.

Some of the bugs in X-Men Legends II made some character ridiculously overpowered. Certain characters could use glitched buffs to make other characters incredibly strong. Lot of exploitable bugs/glitches in that game. Also, there was a bug that could used in Nightcrawler's character build to make him arguably the best character in the game. He can teleport around a screen destroying everyone and practically being untouched the whole time. He also has one of the most devastating super attacks in the game when used with a glitched buff. It's a boss killer. It's the X-Men game to play if you want to feel like you're playing as a Nightcrawler as cool as this one:

Also, when it comes to making a game cry, you have to bring up X-Men vs SF's infinite combos

Here's some badass beat'em up vids, since I love that genre so much and wish I could own these particular games the way these players do

I've enjoyed a lot of beat'em ups and 2D fighters over the years, but sadly, I've never been that much of a combo master. My fingers aren't fast enough, nor can I remember elaborate combos
