Well the person lives in south brooklyn and I live in NE queens and before I got a boxed gamegear from her and she agreed to ship again so yay lol.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Lucky you. I've asked a couple of folks about it before and it scared them away. haha Actually there was one person who agreed to it, she was selling a whole lot of Sega CD games for $5 a piece (yeah, I know) but it turned out she was sold out of all the good stuff by the time I got to her so it didn't go anywhere.Onyxthecat wrote:Well the person lives in south brooklyn and I live in NE queens and before I got a boxed gamegear from her and she agreed to ship again so yay lol.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I had a CIB, took the game out to play...went to put it back in its box a couple weeks later and couldn't find the box. Cut to a few months later of it not turning up, and as I hate loose stuff - I sold the loose cart.retrosportsgamer wrote: mjmjr25> how did you end up with just the box?
Found the box / manual about 2 weeks ago in a rubbermaid bin - so in searching for a cart to re-complete my copy, I found a box / cart copy on amazon, contacted dsh to see if he'd be interested in a halvsies-ish proposition, we both get the piece we need.
We actually talked the seller into coming down on their price to boot - so I think we got the cart / box shipped for $112, then I shipped the box off to Dsh. Considering the last CIB copy went for $215, we both did well.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Went around to the flea market today and picked up:

SNES:
Super Empire Strikes Back $5

Box only of Wrestlemania the Arcade Game free
Sega Genesis:
Kid Chameleon $3
Pac Man 2 The New Adventure $3
King's Bounty $5
Eternal Champions CIB $1
Box and Manual Shaq Fu free
Box only of Ranger X free
N64:

Atomic Purple N64 in a really minty box. The Controller is still in plastic. This thing looks like it has never been used. The box says not for resale on the back but I don't think that really matters. $5

Cobra Triangle $5
Yo Noid $5
Kung Fu Heroes $5
Monster In My Pocket $5
Star Trek 25th Anniversary $5

I would upload pics but for some reason I can never get this site to upload. Only site I have had problems with. I will continue to mess with them until I can get the site to upload my pics.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Went to little shop over the bridge to see if they'd had any more PHAT GEN cases come in as I still needed 3 more.
Sure enough, he had exactly 3, (2) Bill Walsh's, 1 SEALED, and (1) Desert Strike (which is EA, but not a PHAT Box game, but someone had put it in there anyways, so I needed it.
Asked the guy how much, expected $1 on the Walsh's and maybe $3 on the Desert Strike - he says, "Eh, I can do $12 on those." Me: "Really bro, I just want the case actually, can I just buy them?" Him: "Actually, a guy was in here like 2 months ago and bought all my big cases, said some folks use em' for something - so apparently they're worth a few bucks apiece." Me: "Yeah, that was me. No one else is going to give you $4 for Bill Walsh - i'll give you $3 apiece and honestly, that is a stretch man." Him: "ok."
So, I now have all my atomis carts fully boxed w/art:

I also have some crap that was inside the cases. Someone must be interested in this stack of sealed College Team Roster Cards (looking at you otherotherbrad) and poster. There is a loose set of the team cards too. All 3 are CIB, minus the B.

Also, scooped a sealed / mint copy (legit seal, not those oh-so-common-shrinkwrap-jobs) of Perfect Dark - $5

...and, my Consolized PGM arrived - have uploaded pics in my game room thread.

This thread kills me.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Rescued a Sega Sports Dreamcast from goodwill yesterday for $20, it was really dirty with an oily feel to it, cleaned up pretty well though. I have been passively looking for one of these for a while and was fine with the price, good thing I already had a sega sports controller to go with it! Bonus was a scratched to hell generator demo disc inside!

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
*sigh* I wish I could find anything Sega related around here, but most everything I find has Nintendo printed on it. Not that that's a bad thing, but, you know, finding even some Genesis games would be nice. I had one as a kid, WHY does it seem nobody else did?jay_red wrote:Rescued a Sega Sports Dreamcast from goodwill yesterday for $20, it was really dirty with an oily feel to it, cleaned up pretty well though.
