I'm in Canada, so they're still EB Games, but same company as far as I know. Anyway, I don't go to them much outside of poking my head in now and then for rare current gen games that may have made it into the used bins. Found Deathsmiles, and Raiden IV the other day doing that, and was most pleased. New releases I can usually find for the same price or cheaper, with less hassles and any electronics retailer. Luckily there's also a really nice retro gaming store in my town, so I'm usually in good shape for tracking down older stuff.

My most recent experience with Gamestop was on my last Skylander hunt. I was told by the manager previously that they were getting more of them on a Friday night. So I got to the store right about when they would get the shipment (I use to work in the same mall and they have certain times they can get shipments through the bays). I walked into the site of the manager taking a shipping box of Skylanders under his arm into the backroom from the shipping box he was working. I asked him about Skylanders and he said that they did not have any in stock. I asked him about the box I just saw him take in the back room and he said that he bought them himself. He posted them on ebay that night, $100 a figure (MSRP of 7.95).

I cant blame him too much, when I worked at a Software ETC I bought a box of Pokemon cards when we first got them and sold them on Ebay shortly after. I was however upset for him leading me on. If he was planning on doing that he should have just told me from the get go.

Jokes on him though, I saw his auctions last week, now at $50 a figure...

This employee should be reported immediately. It is against Gamestop policy for an employee to purchase goods to sell them. It is a termination offence. It is also against store policy to sell any products that your store sells or work somewhere that does unless approved by RLP and the RM first. It is also a termination offence.
