And I may be in the minority here, but I don't get this whole obsession with different effing cables. For every console I own, I've simply used the ones that came with it and I have no complaints.

Can make a big difference depending on the console and the TV. My Saturn looks AWFUL on my 47" LCD via composite, but I'm sure it looks lovely on a CRT.

Im sure you already know this. The wii only came with av cables thus if you wanna play in higher quality you must get the component cable, which actually do make a difference.

I just follow the "old consoles hook up to the old TV!" rule. Only thing that gets connected to my LCD is PS3 and Xbox 360.
