From what's been announced (such as here), Extend will include the CT story with remastered cutscenes, all the CS story stuff that's been released, plus more story content.

While it's hard to say definitively that every last cutscene is exactly as it was on the CS disc, the game in general is still CS. It's just CS with all the DLC, additions from the PSP/3DS release, CS2 and newer game revisions, and then some. So if something is changed, I'd assume it'd be to incorporate DLC characters into the story or improve on some art or something.

I had (naively) believed that BB wouldn't go the way of Guilty Gear after Continuum Shift turned out to be a true, direct sequel. Seems like it's in full GGXX mode though...

I guess the difference now is that there's still going to be a free downloaded update to change the actual gameplay (like with CS2), and the one new character will be offered as DLC. So, unlike Guilty Gear XX, which has as least 4 flavors I can think of (XX, #Reload, AC, AC+) spread across platforms, CS can be updated to at least use the same game rules regardless, and can have all the same characters.

Personally, I actually like how this release seems to be put together, provided it's all on the disc. Though that's mostly because I'm really not a fan of DLC characters in fighters. Some I've refused to buy due to it. To me, this is how it "should" be done though - a periodic disc release to compile it all.

More actual new stuff in a true Blazblue 3 would be nicer, of course.

so did anyone pick up CS Extend yesterday? I'm still curious to find out if Extend will play online with those of us who have vanilla CS.

My order from Amazon hasn't even shipped... :(

But at least I got the Limited Edition for $40 including shipping.

Same. I'm suspecting a supply problem, since the game seemed to go from preordered to backordered. They did charge my card and change the status to shipping soon though.

Yea, quite possible. I just checked, and my card has been charged as well and order status also says "shipping soon".

Amazon has great customer service so I am not worried. My only question is when did the Limited Edition pre-order price drop to $40? Haha. I'm glad to save $20, but I did not envision the pre-order price dropping $20 in the past month.

Hm, I see it's listed on Amazon for $60, so yeah that's pretty weird. Arc is known for not charging any extra for limited edition/first print runs.

As for me, I'm going to wait till it's in the $20 range. I'm pretty pumped to try out Relius though. Does anyone know what version of the game CS II Extend is? Have there been any balance changes since CS II/the 1.02 console patch? That patch really threw me off and I got too lazy to re-learn my characters (namely Hazama, I know they made him better but god damn it they changed EVERYTHING) so I've been totally out of touch with BB ever since.

Technically your card just has a pending authorization to withdraw the funds. If Amazon doesn't act on that within a few days time the auth goes away and you won't see it on your online statement anymore. It does tie up your credit limit, though. Actually charging the card is tied in with sending the shipped email with a tracking number.
