Now this is quite a suprise. Looks like the console exclusive is getting the arcade treatment curtesy of Arc Sys and SEGA! Perhaps this is a good indication of a much desired GG return. Time to put a rest to BB FINALLY! lol! Get Hype!

Weird news indeed. But I too like gg better than BB.
But, to be fair, BB might be better, but it´s a bit alienating, never put alot of time into it. What´s up with blocking, ugh....

I'd imagine they are just testing the waters to see if there is still interest in the franchise. But I agree, a strange yet surprising release

Think of it as a Tokyo Game Show for the the Arcade industry. It's a pretty big event of that sector. Wow seems like plenty of surprises coming this at this show with this and New Tekken Tag Tournament 2

I like both series, but I know the creator of BlazBlue was recently talking about an actual NEW BB game. Not additional tweaks. I would expect that to come before a new Guilty Gear game.

Wait, if he´s talking about a new BB game and now a console GG game gets released for the arcade, that can mean only one thing.

Regarding the arcade version, Arc said today that we'll get details and release information later. The "Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus" may not be final.

Arc also said that it will release the game as a digital download on PS3 and Xbox 360. The home version will offer network combat, which Arc says is a highly requested feature.

YES!!!!

I generally dislike digital download games, but I cannot pass up the opportunity to play some GG Accent Core online. Oh man, GG is finally making it's comeback. This is too awesome.

Arksys said they wanted to finish up with BlazBlue and make BlazBlue 3 by 2012. Then IMO they will probably do a Guilty Gear x BlazBlue game to re-invigorate interest in the GG franchise, then bring in a new GG game some time in 2013.
