Re: JerryTerrifying's Dank Pit of Despair
How do you know when a whole circle of friends or a handicapped group won't show up together and need the spaces? If you aren't there with your father then you are an inconsiderate ass. Full stop.
For the record my uncle has been on crutches his entire life. He doesn't resort to a wheelchair or motorized scooter either. He is not lazy, but he does deserve to use a handicapped spot.

Uh...you do realize Luke is handicapped, right? And not in a morbidly obese way, but what you wpuld consider a legitimate physical handicap. And he gets seriously pissed because people do this, making it harder for him to live his life.

And that makes it ok for him to threaten people with a gun? Which is a felony? Because he's put out by people rude committing minor traffic violations? I think you guys are blowing it out of proportion.Ack wrote:Uh...you do realize Luke is handicapped, right? I never abused that thing at a store or in public which only has a tiny area set aside for handicap parking. I worked at an air port our handicap parking area had 30 spaces. There was usually never more than 5 - 10 cars in that area, I parked in the back. If it ever was more than half full I'd park in one of the shitty parking spots. Our parking lot was big enough to have shuttle buses to go to the far end. I only did this when I could barely walk from being on my feet for about 6 hours without a break after running 15 - 25 miles before work and couldn't stand on the shuttle bus without being in major pain. All while not taking a spot from anyone with a genuine need for handicapped parking. Your massive butt frustration is a knee jerk reaction. Also this was all four years ago.

Like I've said I've only done this at one place where that's not likely. I was part of the last shift to show up. If they weren't full by the time I got there they weren't going to be. There were about 30 handicapped spaces and there usually wasn't more than 5 - 10 of them in use. No one was inconvenienced by my reckless abandon for traffic laws. I'm a little disappointed that Luke's comments about guns are an a ok response because some one might have be inconvenienced.
Re: JerryTerrifying's Dank Pit of Despair
All these explanations don't really add up to jack shit for me, sorry. The bottom line is that you used handicapped parking spaces without having the proper medical clearance to do so. I don't care if you were pretty sure the spaces wouldn't be used or if your feet hurt - it is a matter of principle. What's worse is that even though it was "four years ago" you still feel the need to brag about it today.
And Luke wasn't really threatening you, he was suggesting that someone might do more than chastise you in an internet forum someday for taking these spaces. It was a helpful warning, not an "I'm going to come get you" statement.
I'll add that the story about stealing the payphone also speaks to your upstanding moral character. I can't help but wonder what other assholery you've been up to while accumulating stuff for that clusterfuck of a room.

Okay, a few things.
Jerry:
In no way whatsoever did I mean to threaten you, nor have I ever pulled a gun on anyone and I never wish to do so. But, instead of throwing out disses, think. Think about what you've done and what you are posting now. Don't disregard that you've screwed people over, and again I think your Father would be ashamed of your past and current behavior.
That in mind, yes, I do confront assholes who abuse handicap spots. Usually it ends with the person apologizing to me, not making jackass remarks about my massive dong (you said it, not me). Usually people realize that they are in the wrong, and some *gasp* even feel a bit of guilt.
Ack:
I would never consider myself handicapped, but I do appreciate you chiming in and your support. And this has nothing to do with me, it has to do with the fact that the truly handicapped need and deserve those spots.
Dish:
Christ. You don't fuck around do you?

It doesn't matter if it isn't likely or not. Most buildings aren't likely to burn down any given hour of the day either but people that park in the fire lane or in front of a hydrant are still assholes too.JerryTerrifying wrote: Like I've said I've only done this at one place where that's not likely.
Unless you sit there the entire time and watch everyone drive by the spots, you don't know that. You can try to make excuses all say, but it doesn't magically make you less inconsiderate.I was part of the last shift to show up. What about live-parking? Is that ok?Hobie-wan wrote: It doesn't matter if it isn't likely or not. Most buildings aren't likely to burn down any given hour of the day either but people that park in the fire lane or in front of a hydrant are still assholes too.

You're right. You're all saints that have never broken a single traffic law. I'm sure not one of you has gone over the speed limit, pulled a rolling stop, ran a red light, switched lanes without signaling. You know actual traffic violations that cause accidents and take lives because you're all such considerate perfect motorists.
