from PSP-Hacks.com:
In a discovery of the disappointing kind, PS Vita gamers with purchased PS1/PSP content online have found that the Vita and PSP are classified under the same activation count.

If you own any amount of PSP's and have game shared up to the limit (5 consoles, 2 for newer games) then anything you choose to download to the PS Vita will be denied due to the activation limit being reached.

Is this really all that surprising?

I guess not. I just hadn't thought about it.

Back on the cart thing, I didn't mean to replace downloadable media, just disc-based. Once we go 100% download only, I doubt we'll ever go back, I'm not debating that. Seeing how the Wii U is still disc based, I'm going to go out on a limb and say at least *either* the 720 or PS4 will stick to physical media.

Since blu-ray is the physical medium of choice for movies right now, both the Xbox and the PS4 will have a blu-ray.

Why would xbox use blu-ray? I don't think they want to give money to sony to use blu-ray. Thats why nintendo isn't.

...Sony doesn't own blu ray. They co-developed it and pushed it really hard, yes, but they don't actually own it.

Sony co-developed the CD and DVD too, so...

Nintendo isn't because they've used proprietary media their entire run. That's just how they roll. I could easily see the next Xbox going with blu-ray; they bet on HD-DVD and lost and there are a lot of complaints any time there's a multi-disc 360 game.

I think the PS4 will use Blu-Ray for sure. Sony wouldn't spend all that time and effort building it up, and then abandon it before it's even close to being obsolete.
