I know that I played long enough to unlock all the characters and about 1/3 of the trophies, so I don't think that characterization of "barely play" is fair. I've also beaten at least a dozen fighters in the past couple of years and probably sink a few hours a month into older titles, so I am certainly a fan of the genre.

So yeah, you're off base.
wasn't picking a fight. I just didn't think you were a fan. I felt like in general you weren't a big fighter fan is all.
But I like fights!

I'll put it to you that I might be a bigger fighter fan than you!

I'm not sure why you think this. Just because you play fighting titles months after the hype has died down (which is usually when I play modern fighting games) and even though I don't jump into online play very much doesn't mean that we don't both have pretty strong appreciation for the genre. I think we approach it from different angles, but for chrissakes you don't even use an arcade stick to play  For older titles I think I have more of a love for a wide range of arcade-first fighters and you have more of a love for those clearly rooted in console origins.

Um, yes I did. You probably won more, but I certainly won some matches iirc.

I only really think it because I can't really think of you talking about really liking any specific fighting game is all. No one stands out as one I know you're into.

Not sure what the fight stick comment means. I find fightpads comfy because my early experience with fighters were on SNES and Genesis, not in arcades proper.

Arcade/console-wise... I'd say my favorite fighters tend to be of the Capcom variety personally. I've branched off more now, and enjoy SNK ones too... I really like DOA lately. And this gen I'm really enjoying the BlazBlue/Arcana kind of stuff.
Um, yes I did. You probably won more, but I certainly won some matches iirc.
I don't remember. I was pretty drunk all those times I beat you.

Joking aside, not sure why you seem so mad at me for saying "oh I'm surprised you're getting that game, didn't think you were that big a fan..."

The joke is that you guys are talking about fighting games, so Dsh says he likes to pick fights.

Seeing how we're able to go back to carts on handhelds... how much longer until the same thing hits home consoles?
