What a great way to judge games, you're sure to get far with that attitude. All I was trying to do was point you in the direction of some other mecha games you might enjoy, there's no reason to be a dick about it. If you want to blindly hate on games because IGN and Gamespot said they're bad that's all well and good, but you'll really be missing out on some good games in the process.
Are you shitting me? Let me break this down for you:

Chrome Hounds sucks>Armored Core is similar to Chrome Hounds>Armored Core probably sucks too. If doing my research and recognizing a game I won't like is "blind hate" then I'll take the path of the blind man any day.

YES WE DO! I loved WarHawk and would love to see a successor to it set in space.

Back on topic: I think I might try Legend of Dragoon again after reading this thread.
Yeah, Warhawk is a blast to play. Too bad it is online-only. :?

That's the definition of "jumping to conclusions." It's not fully blind, but I think the point being made is that you might miss games you actually like just because another game like it left a bad taste.

I highlighted a funny word.

Anyways, let's hope we get that Suikoden game over here. And I'd rather it not have voice acting... always heard the DS game had horrendous voice acting.

Yeah, it's called "Suikoden: The Woven Web Of A Century".
It's about time Suikoden fans had a new game + some news of the series. Since the old suikoden team was disbanded last year, it seemed like the series was dead. I pre-ordered the special edition from Konami, even though I don't speak Japanese. I'm really hoping they release this in English, but my expectations aren't too high on that one. Also this game doesn't take place in the original suikoden universe (suikoden 1 - 5) but instead in the tierkreis universe that was established on the DS. Not the greatest :(... I hope Konami doesn't take this direction and forget about the old universe.

On topic: I would absolutely love a sequel/prequel/reboot of The Legends of Dragoon. That was one of my favourite RPG's on the playstation and always thought it needed more developing as a series. The dragoon transformation was just so awesome.

This worries me as well, but for some reason I'm optimistic about this game. Time will tell.

The only one of these I played was a bit of Demon's Souls...what makes them worth checking out?

Bah, well if the old team was disbanded maybe more development in a new world is for the best.

I guess this is a good reminder that I never did finish Suikoden 5, that game was super long. Loved what I played though. And was Tactics any good? I haven't touched that one or 4, but 4 is probably a given... lol.

I hate to admit it (suikoden is my favourite franchise of all time) but I still haven't played too far into Tactics. I am not much for SRPG's and I keep dying in it, despite it supposedly being easy haha. I really enjoyed IV and felt it gets unfar hate towards it. I will agree it is far from the best, and has some weird game mechanic choices (4 member parties instead of 6? especially with 108 characters to chose from is a bit limiting). But Tactics serves as both a prequel and a sequel to IV, and i've heard when you play both it is actually a great story.

Well I say that, but yeah I'd like to officially give Suikoden IV a shot myself someday. It sounds really short too in comparison to the others, so yeah... can't hurt... I hope? haha.

I just don't know if I can do that for III. The battle system is so sloooooooow. No matter how good I hear the story is, I just don't know if I can do it. I loved the battle system in 1-2 and 5.
