01/09 Golden Axe Warrior - SMS
01/15 Sonic Generations - PS3
01/25 Back to the Future The Game (all 5 episodes) PS3
02/04 Soul Caliber - Dreamcast
02/11 Monster Tale - DS NEW
Monster Tale was a fun little metroidvania style game. At first it seemed pretty easy but there were a couple bosses I had to play a couple times to learn their patterns and two rooms that took a ton of tries. The game was a mash-up styles from many great games with clues to the bosses that was reminiscent of Punch Out to the Metroid/Castlevania explore, upgrade, retread level design. If you have never heard of this game check it out, and if you are on the fence it's less that $15 and well worth every penny.

Golden Axe Warrior - SMS
Current - iOS
Golden Axe: The Duel - Saturn
Golden Axe - Genesis
Capcom Fighting Evolution - PS2
Metal Slug XX - PSP
Ketsui: Death Label - NDS
DoDonPachi: Blissful Death - iOS
Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad - Arcade (MAME)
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary -360 *new*
TOTAL: 10
2011 Games Beaten
2010 Games Beaten
The 10th Anniversary Release of Halo is an HD makeover of the game that makes it worth taking a trip through the old haunts once again. If you've never played Halo, this is a great place to start as many consider this the best single-player campaign of the series (I am partial to Halo 2)...and it is certainly one of the most historically important FPSs made. The game has some sections that stretch on and get repetitive, but overall the level design and architecture is memorable and the sense of exploration and of finding your way around the world is a refreshing change from more recent FPS titles (including the recent Halo games) which eschew exploration for linear progression.

Re: Games Beaten 2012
I was hoping to see Simpsons Arcade next on your list Dish.
SUPER STAR WARS
Seeing the prequel made me want to relive some decent Star Wars moments. I still have the lava jumping sequence down pat, but there's a short jumping sequence in Tatooine where you have to jump on a ledge below you that you can barely see (even using the L button) while what I think are mynochs flying above you. It's a brutal part of the game.
After that, the game is fairly simple if your gun remains powered up, but still tons of fun. I wish they would have extended the behind cam x-wing level, but that's a small complaint on an otherwise great game.
I take that last comment back. I think it's great because I ignore a lot of its faults just because of the fact I played it everyday for at least a week when I was a teenager. The jumping is awkward, the storyline is there but the game doesn't follow it, and the lightsaber isn't the best weapon. You kind of have to stretch the story to make a game out of it, even Lego Star Wars does that, but the designers could have come up with better ideas than "Han Solo destroys the Tractor Beam". And for some reason the opening credits being in a yellow font doesn't make sense, but eh. Great game...to me.

I am trying to decide if it's worth paying to play it in HD with an arcade stick when I can already play it in SD on my MAME cabLuke wrote:I was hoping to see Simpsons Arcade next on your list Dish.

Hello all! Nice to get away from just lurking, and contributing a bit!
My finished games up till now are Metal Gear Solid 4 and Yoshis Story.
Both are games I was ready to hate, but actually liked a lot!
