My best friend and I are huge Dragonball Z fans, even at our age. Although, I'm going to pass on Burst Limit unless I can find it real cheap. It only goes up to Cell Saga as far as I know, and Budokai 3 has over twice as many characters. I'm quite certain Atari will follow the trend of a new DBZ game every year, so wait until Burst Limit 3 and we'll see a full roster.

I've been a fan since 1998. Japanese only, though. I started on the dubs, but once I experienced the japanese episodes, I could never settle for less. DB is a very lighthearted and awesome series that focuses much more on adventures than fighting. Too many people shrug it off as a kid's show and they never gave it a chance. If you're secure in yourself, give it a chance.
Now DBZ I will always love, but there's no denying that the series went downhill fast after Namek. It was very obvious that it should have ended with Goku's sacrifice and Freeza staying dead for good. The universe is safe, but at what cost, etc. One of those kind of endings. Instead, they just milked the shit out of it with more and more enemies who were just inexplicably more powerful than Freeza ten times over, despite Freeza being considered the strongest in the universe for what? Like 80 something episodes. Character development just kept getting thinner and thinner.
Then GT comes along, and I almost liked it. It started off quite similar to DB, and focused on carefree adventure, but this time, across the universe. For those who don't know, about 13 of the first episodes of GT were entirely omitted from the dub's original airing, because they wanted to just skip right to the bullshit fighting again. Those 13 episodes are actually the only decent ones you'll find in the GT series. Past that, the story just gets so fucking retarded, with a brand new super ultra mega lord of the fucking multiverse big boss character every 2-3 episodes, always stronger than the previous one. Everyone of them felt like a rejected character concept. I do not recommend this show.
