Yeah I got that e-mail too. What did you pick up? I've only pre-ordered Uncharted, but I am considering Hot Shots. I'll also probably get Escape Plan, but I think that is PSN only.
Uncharted, Wipeout, UMvC3, Lumines, and the 32GB card. I'll get Super Stardust on PSN, and plan to get Gravity Rush as soon as its released too...

I tried the demo unit the other day, and the thing that stuck out to me the most was how light the thing was! Seriously, this is comparable to my PSP-2000. The analog sticks were also pretty nice, albeit a bit slippery. The only things that concern me are the loading times (are you sure this is a cartridge?) and how easily the rear touchpad is touched when holding the device.

No it's not. It's flash memory. They are nowhere near as fast as cartridges, but nowhere near as expensive either.

I played a few minutes of Gravity Rush at the GS and didn't understand what kind of game it was and I haven't looked it up yet. Seemed strange for sure.

So, I've decided to buy one on launch. I'll have some money coming in to do so, so I figure, hey why not.

It's been a long while since I've bought something at launch.

The last thing I bought at launch was a PS2, so I am there with you! Glad to know you're getting one too - we'll have to try some online play. What are you getting?

Obligatory snapshots of first Vita games arriving in the mail (9 days before the system will  )

and a size comparison:

I must say, if you liked the UMD cases as much as I did, you should like these as well. They are "adorable" in a way only an obsessive collector of things that come in plastic cases could understand (e.g. most of you).

Do you have a DS case you can put along side for additional comparison?

And could you place a DS cart and a UMD next to a Vita card for comparison too?

Crazy bastard, how much did Ketsui set you back?

Those case are probably going to drive me crazy. The way I've got my shelf setup I've got all my DS cases on the first tier, then all the other video game cases below that since they all have a fairly similar height. The PS3 case is slightly shorter but the same width. The PSP case is DVD height but indented. This case is about the same size as a DS case, but narrower. Since I want to group stuff together, I'll probably have to move my PSP cases from being after the PS3 cases to being after the DS cases. That's going to be fun to move everything around.
