People are getting confused with this thread, I think. Isn't Kingdom Hearts and FF Crisis Core also JRPGs? I thought they were, but I've never played them myself for that very reason, so I could be wrong.

Well, in both games you move around and have full control of your characters during combat. They're real time rather than turn based. I think that's how some people define action rpg. How do you define it? Are you thinking more along the lines of a Diablo, dungeon crawler? Or maybe something like Gauntlet Dark Legacy. I wanted to add this

No, that applies just fine. I just thought they were JRPGs, and like I said, I never played them so I wasn't entirely sure. I was planning on adding Parasite Eve, so I see no difference.
