I predict that one will break $4000.

Seriously, the prices for this game have never been higher. The demand is far outstripping the supply. A VGA 85+ Earthbound is a once in a lifetime acquisition.

I personally don't see the need to acquire it, but it might be a good investment. The game in all forms will probably double in value a year from now.
it did... $4700 jesus christ
 They paid what?!

*faints*

I'm so very glad the guy at my game store didn't feel like looking anything up that one day and I found my cart for cheap.

You will not be able to get a mint CIB copy that grades 85+ for $500-600. Used copies with visible wear sell for that much.

Checking eBay completed listings, looks like you can put up a cart only copy with a BIN for $170 and free shipping and have it sell like ::snap:: that. How much is gold per ounce?

I'm thinking about selling my cart only Earthbound. Or should I wait for the price to go up higher?

I don't think anyone can know future values but you're pretty much guaranteed a buyer right now.

If you don't place any sentimental value on the game then sell away.

You might wanna hit up Nintendo Age. I've noticed a lot of people wanting a copy. Of course, people will be expecting to pay a little less than ebay prices.

The price is not going to come down, so if you think you may want to play it, then keep it. Otherwise, sell if you want the money now. I'm sure it will break 200 by the end of the year.

Does anyone here see the price going down at all in the next few years?

I'm kinda wondering if I should just go ahead and nab it when I have the money before it gets even crazier expensive...
