pstwo turns ps1-games greens

hi there, i just got my pstwo from ebay today and have no game to test it, so i tried an old ps1-game. a few minutes it worked and suddenly it became GREEN.

somebody could tell me, if this is normal? or is my ps broken?

All playstations are *broken* in my opinion, but maybe we can help. What kind of green? Is it just a bright solid green across the whole screen, or is it just transparent, where you can still see whats going on behind it? And the game still sounds like it's playing?

its like you said, a solid green across the screen (tehe...) and i`m seeing ( or not) whats going on behind. i knew the ps had a green dvd-movie-playback, but green on games... the games are still running, sound i don`t know as my amp is already in my new flat :-(

is this a "normal" pstwo prob?

Well if it was just a shade of green, I'd suspect the video signal is wonky and could use a little resoldering, but it it just clicks to a solid green like that, then thats probably something deeper. I can't say really.
