High difficulty JRPGs
Re: High difficulty JRPGs
I think Mike is a pretty cool guy. Eh likes Dragon Warrior II and doesn't afraid of anything.
On a serious note, I appreciate grinding, I just don't want to be forced into it all the time. I'd rather the grinding be more incorporated into the storyline. I can, though, appreciate the early efforts.

No, I'm actually a really nice guy. It is annoying when people who have no sensibilities for the older games review the older games. No, it's not Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VII, so if that bothers you, just say so: 5/10 "Not Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VII". Period. End of mini-review... Just because you like Gears of War, doesn't mean anybody wants to hear your opinion about Ikari Warriors.dsheinem wrote:Mike, you sound like an asshole.
Thanks,

And besides, it's a recommendations thread, not an argument. I'm trying to convey the kind of thing I like to get the kind of recommendations I'm looking for. Fuck me for being a little emphatic!!!!
1. Guilty Gear
2. Dimahoo
3. Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair

Tactics Ogre is pretty challenging, the original for the SNES/PSX.

Re: High difficulty JRPGs
It's no FFT or Tactics Ogre but it is alright. Story was weak, laws were unnecessary and annoying. I liked the selection of races and classes... I generally liked FFTA2 better though.noiseredux wrote:they do? News to me. I thought it was great.AppleQueso wrote:Doesn't everyone hate FFTA?

LAWS. FFTA2 was fine, but FFTA was painful because of that. I will never beat the game because of the LAWS. I dont want to have to sit down and flop through menus every time because all of the sudden physical attacks are disabled. TO on the GBA was vastly superior, even if simply because it doesnt have the Laws.noiseredux wrote:they do? News to me. I thought it was great.AppleQueso wrote:Doesn't everyone hate FFTA?
But if you want a hard traditional JRPG, try Phantasy Star II. Normally I would say Hylide, but that is a Zelda styled title RPG, not a strict JRPG.
