Eh, I don't really find it to be any worse than a 2600 controller, which as seen in that article, there was a clone of that for Commodore computers too. The real problem is the stiffness and the crappy metal dome switches that a lot of sticks from that era used.

Corners on a joystick? Three angles to dig into your vulnerable hand during a marathon gaming session? Why not just put razor blades in there? It doesn't just look nasty, it IS nasty.

The original NES controller had square corners. Doesn't seem a good argument to me.

I'll put my choice on the 2600 controller as well. The joystick was stiff and the button was not fairly responsive.

I think a better article would be which 3rd party controller was better than the official release one. Any links on such an article?
