The stuff people did with that piece of 1977 kit called the VCS is pretty amazing.

Well, I'm off to ebay. That looks like Star Raiders on steroids.

I haven't bought the cart yet but I've read through the manual and played it once or twice on an emulator. So basically, you have to rescue people on different planets in different star systems. At the same time though, there's an enemy that is also trying to take control of various bases etc. If they capture one of your planets (if you don't defend it in time rather, or die trying) then when trying to recap that planet your controls are reversed and there's ambient explosion sounds. Their spaces are marked with red on the map screen. It's honestly really cool.

Occasionally I'll go into the What made you smile/what ticked you off thread to talk about something good, but I'll find that the most recent message has some kind of news that, whatever it might be, is bad enough to make me feel guilty about posting something good.

So I don't post.

Maybe that's weird of me, but its true. Anybody else ever do that?
