I rooted for the Giants myself, haha. Word is that was an accident and they wanted to hold it at the 5 or something to eat up more time, but that happened and they got lucky. I don't think that guy held it in or something, lol.

The results are in. Santorum has won all three states tonight, something no one was expecting. MO by 30 points, MN by about 18, and CO by 5. Couldn't have hoped for more. I'll take Gingritch or Santorum, just so long as it's not Romney.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Colorado has a lot of religious-conservatives (Colorado Springs is Jesus-central), so it doesn't shock me that he won. Minnesota keeps electing Bachmann, so that doesn't really surprise me either. MO is close enough to Iowa in terms of demographics that his win there isn't surprising either (plus he did extensive campaigning in MO). I think Romney is the only candidate that stands any kind of chance in a national election, though, but it is fun to see Newt and Rick winning states and prolonging this thing.o.pwuaioc wrote:Et tu, Colorado? An awkward picture from the past? Gasp!
I don't have a dog in this fight. I don't care for any of the Republican runners, nor the Democrats which makes me fairly disappointed. Both party's supporters are also grating on my nerves like crazy (which is actually quite difficult to do). The entire "occupy" stuff is a big cognitive dissonance mess where a bunch of people don't have the balls to say they may have voted for the wrong President, and calling out a black President doesn't sit well with them. And the Republicans, yeesh. People take S.Colbert more seriously than the front runners.
A "media-free" Presidential race is impossible, but boy would it be a breath of fresh air.
edit* Picked this up at the library today:
Looks like a good read.

The stuff people did with that piece of 1977 kit called the VCS is pretty amazing.
Older. Not wiser.

Well, I'm off to ebay. That looks like Star Raiders on steroids.
