Yeah came out around 8:30ish EST and you definitely had to search. I held off on getting it until tonight.

That said, I love the Scott Pilgrim movie. It deserved a better game. The only thing great about the Scott Pilgrim game is the amazing Anamanaguchi soundtrack
While the add-on was only $1.99 I found the Dodgeball mini-game extremely underwhelming. Granted, it was not the only part (extra character and another mini-mode too).

@ OOBrad... maybe we'll play tonight then (?).

RE: Scott Pilgrim - I thought the movie was kind of meh, considering all the "OMG dude! You play games! You'll LOVE this movie!" that I got from everyone. The game on the other hand seemed awesome to me (as a huge fan of River City Ransom).

I've heard bad things about the PS3 version - terrible glitches, though I don't remember the specifics. Make sure you do your research first.

I should do research on a game I've already played?

"The game on the other hand seemed awesome" suggests that you've never played it/don't own it.

In general, I find that most games developed multi-platform are better off on 360, but I still prefer to buy games for my PS3. Mortal Kombat, FFXIII and Lords of Shadow are definitively better on the PS3 for various reasons.

I guess I can see how you thought that. But yeah, I have played it. Sadly, only the demo though. Played through the demo once solo and once co-op and do plan to pick up the full version at some point because my wife enjoyed it enough to want to play through the whole game with me.

Yeah, I got FFXIII and Lords of Shadow on the PS3 too. Lens of Truth and Digital Foundry said those versions were better, moreso in the case of FFXIII. I get annoyed when they don't cover certain games. That's the only thing I don't like about those two sites. They pick and choose what to cover. They've never done a 360/PS3 comparison on recent games I have played like Sonic Generations or Rayman Origins for example

Interesting about the Scott Pilgrim issues on the PS3. That's the version I have because I was hyped up about the game and it came out on the PS3 first. I never encountered any issues though. I just couldn't fall in love with the game though. I suppose it's possible that I wouldn't enjoy River City Ransom either. For me, Castle Crashers and The Dishwasher Vampire Smiles are my personal benchmarks for original, 2d beat'em ups on the PSN or Xbox Live Arcade. The Dishwasher Dead Samurai is great too, but Vampire Smiles is a better balanced, more polished game

Anyway, love the Simpsons. I expected to get a little burst of nostalgia when I played it, but I'm surprised by how good it actually is even to my modern eyes. The mechanics are simplistic, but it's designed well. It's not as cheap as arcade beat'em ups from that time period typically are, and that's just the US version. The Japanese version is supposed to give players a few more perks in their favor. This is why I still love the original Golden Axe. It's a well balanced game that never feels cheap. That's not typical for arcade beat'em ups and hack n slash games. If racketboy members get together to play Simpson Arcade, I might try and join in sometime if I'm able. Dibs on Bart!
