I played this today and it seemed no different to me. What are you seeing that makes you say it is the game running at 30fps that is causing your issue?wip3outguy7 wrote: 30 fps hurts Wipeout 2048. It is hard to go back after playing HD at 60 fps for so long. The game does look incredible, however. Maybe the wider tracks (laughably wider) and the incredible detail/depth will make up for the frame rate. It would have been nice to test run at Phantom speeds.

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.
Re: Playstation Vita thread
I tried one of these out today and I honestly don't know how much I like it. A lot of the menus are touchscreen only, the buttons, dpad and analog sticks feel too small (and it's a huge device!) and the loading times. The Wipeout demo probably took a good 30-50 seconds to load one level. I'm definitely waiting for a price drop and a revision at this juncture, but maybe I'll play with it some more and have my mind blown down the line.
Re: Playstation Vita thread
I tried it today and agree on the load time. The button and analog sticks I don't agree though, I think they felt great and way, way better then the PSP or the 3DS.sabrage wrote:I tried one of these out today and I honestly don't know how much I like it. Anybody that plays games at almost exclusively 60fps can easily tell the different.Stark wrote:I played this today and it seemed no different to me. It's definitely running at 30. It's fine, but it's just not as nice as 60fps. Feels a lot like the earlier PSP titles.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Playstation Vita thread
They certainly had a nice feel to them, as opposed to the mushy PSP, but I got big hands. I think I'd have to play with the analog sticks a bit more to really decide what I think about them, but the buttons are tiny.Stark wrote:I tried it today and agree on the load time. Clicky buttons and console-style analog sticks FTW!Stark wrote:I tried it today and agree on the load time. I'm not doubting you perceive a difference, I'm asking you to quantify it for me. Maybe I'm asking for trouble and I won't be as happy once I can "see" it, but I read wip3outguy's post before going, so I was actively looking for it and still didn't notice a problem.RyaNtheSlayA wrote: Anybody that plays games at almost exclusively 60fps can easily tell the difference.

It's like the listening to music on a pair of iBuds vs a $300 pair run through a headphone amp: if you can't tell the difference, you're probably better off.Stark wrote:I'm not doubting you perceive a difference, I'm asking you to quantify it for me. I got an email from Amazon that a few of my Vita games have now shipped and should be here on Monday...9 days BEFORE the system itself is scheduled to arrive
Re: Playstation Vita thread
Yeah I got that e-mail too. What did you pick up? I've only pre-ordered Uncharted, but I am considering Hot Shots. I'll also probably get Escape Plan, but I think that is PSN only.dsheinem wrote:I got an email from Amazon that a few of my Vita games have now shipped and should be here on Monday...9 days BEFORE the system itself is scheduled to arrive
