Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Nah, it's fine on PSX.
DR123, try pressing the PS button, going to "controller settings" and changing "control type" from digital to analog (or something like that). You have to do that with pretty much every game.

No, on the psx it was fine. On the ps2 all it did was give you a garbled screen. You could still navigate the menu, etc. All you had to do was back out and go back in a couple times and you'd get a normal screen.Flake wrote:I could be wrong but I thought that was a problem even back on the PSX?sabrage wrote: -Final Fantasy 5 (Final Fantasy Anthology, black label only): Sometimes completely crashes when you attempt to save your game. I'm pretty sure the crashing on ps3 is related.

You should be able to go into the PS1 settings menu on the PS3 by holding the Home button and change the controller from "Digital" to "Analog." I've had to do this with several PS1 games on the PS3.d123456 wrote:I have issues with racing games using analog control.
-Ridge Racer Type 4
-Side By Side Special
No matter what I try the game in the ps3 will never be with analog steering
And the Negcon works on the ps3 dashboard, but not with the games.
"$%§$/(/&"§$%!"§$"§, fuk you Sony. Now I haz a ps2
Also, I haven't been able to get V-Rally 2 past the intro screen on my PS3 - it always freezes. Works ok on my PS2, but always freezes on my PS3 Slim. So far it's the only game I've had an issue with. *Shrug*

Thanks. I´ve tried that hundreds of times and I tried it in several different orders, reboot, reset, put it on analog before booting, etc, etc. It just doesn´t work.Valkyrie-Favor wrote:DR123, try pressing the PS button, going to "controller settings" and changing "control type" from digital to analog (or something like that). The weird thing is is that Ridge Racer Type 4 is not exactly a unknown game or anything, What´s up $ony?

Re: PS1 games with issues on the PS3
what's up is that the PS3 uses software emulation. And if you've ever spent time with any emulators then you know that there's really no such thing as perfect emulation. You can get close, but there will be various issues big and small from game to game. Really, the only way to perfect emulation is to test every single game - extensively - and fix every glitch on an individual basis. That's just not really going to happen when you're talking backwards compatability. You put the "$" in "Sony," I assume to make some sort of point. But c'mon... how's the compatability rate for Xbox games on 360? Considering the size of the PS1 library, I'd say that the instances of glitches is pretty small on PS3 considering there's not much incentive for Sony to continue trying to perfect it.d123456 wrote: Thanks.
