Do I have a Problem?
Re: Do I have a Problem?
Stop buying current gen consoles and games. Enjoy some of the great retro games that exist at a fraction of the price. Also, games are like movies to me, if I have too many, its hard to decide which to watch/play. Together Retro is a great place to start playing games that you never would have played and get away from lining your shelves with more unplayed games. Also look into the defining games or hidden gems pages and make it a goal to finish some of those.

They say the Truth will set you Free
I know from first hand experience,I reduced my collection by 50% last year.Nearly dun had 80% of RB's most vaulable list.Every night would be me staring at a wall for 3 hours on what to play till I drove myself insane.
Then I too sorta became stress/depressed(slightly) cause I had all these wonderful games we all talk about or dream of owning but couldnt for the life of me play let alone enjoy them.
The hobbys amazing, the community is united the habit is addictive..
The hunt,The search,The find hell all this shit together is a pretty good high.
But like all things that can get us high, too much not enough will lead to frustration/stress/depression.
Not easily overcome, but some hopeful advise to help a fellow out.
Theres too many people in this world to feel alone

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

I am kinda like this except while I do play my games, I have trouble FINISHING them. I tend to get bored more often with any certain title now that I have started collecting, especially with RPG games.

I know I posted this before, but oh well:

I think it boils down to what the comic points out. At least for me, when I was younger, I used to play the game 8 games over and over again, jealous of the cousin that had some 100 games. Once I had a paycheck, I started buying games like crazy. Soon enough, I have a library when I've only beaten like 5% of the games.
Also, piracy blows. Having 'the entire collection' in rom based form doesn't appeal to me anymore. Just having it took the fun out of playing all the games I d/led, not sure if it was guilt, but I tend to play games I buy more often than I do ones I downloaded.
Lastly, same rule applies to renting a game. Renting a game for 3 or 5 days, you are spurred to play the crap out of a game. Take the time constraint away, and it sits on the shelf forever.

If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?
