Finally sat down to play. Made two runs, so not too bad I guess.

You two are doing fine. What do you think of the game?

As a tip, bullet cancelling is key. Especially on bosses. The MEFA2 + concept reactor will take you very far. The faster you kill a boss the more points you get. Bombing is encouraged. If a pattern looks too hard to dodge then just bomb the crap out of the boss and/or cancel all the bullets with the concept reactor.

Dodging is important in this game, but not as important as it might look at first.

I think I may take a day or two off from the game so I don't get frustrated if I don't get the 1CC on my next few tries.

And I did it. 1CC. I went into stage 5 with 7 lives so if I didn't make it I should have probably jumped off a bridge. Only had 2 lives when I finished.

So you're score is almost doubling from stage 4 to 5 - that gives hope. My stage 1 score isn't terribly far off then.

It took me a few tries to figure it out too - I can post what I did later tonight or tomorrow.

I think it's the 3rd file from the bottom you have to unzip, then close out the entire folder and downloads, then re-open that file, it will ask you to unzip or run again, this time hit run, then it should take off. You may have to go into the configurartion menu also to set your joystick, I did.
