Re: Playstation Vita thread
I just tried out the Vita at Gamestop a few days ago myself, and I must say that the design is far superior to that of the original PSP. Comfortable, vibrant, bright screen, two analog sticks (and they're better sticks than what the PSP has), and the addition of a touch-screen is awesome.

I'm really not fond of the touch screen personally. The touch pad on the back is neat though.BoringSupreez wrote:I just tried out the Vita at Gamestop a few days ago myself, and I must say that the design is far superior to that of the original PSP. I think that it's worth it solely for the system menu and internet navigation alone.RyaNtheSlayA wrote: I'm really not fond of the touch screen personally. The touch pad on the back is neat though.

It'd be interesting to see a list (way too much work to compile, but still) of Gamestops that let you touch them. My friend here at work went into a GS and they wouldn't let it out of it's protective bubble. I want to see one, but I don't want to travel to every GS in the area to find out which one has one I can touch.

Just call ahead, until you find one that's touchable.Stark wrote:It'd be interesting to see a list (way too much work to compile, but still) of Gamestops that let you touch them. Also how should the conversation go:
GS Employee: "Hello. Thanks for calling Gamestop where you can preorder..."
*5 minutes of things to preorder*
Me: "Can I touch your Vita?"

You hit submit post before finishing, so I'll do the honors.
GS Employee: We don't carry PCs.
Me: No no, not a Vista, a Vita.
GS Employee: What's that?
Me: ...Sony's new handheld console?
GSE: Oh, yeah, sure.
*heads over to GS*
*heads over to Vita*
GSE: Hey, you're not allowed to touch that!
Me: But you said I could.
GSE: I thought you were talking about the PSP.
Me: But I said Vita.
GSE: You said Sony's new gaming console.
Me: ...FALCPWN PAWNCH!

PSP UMD-to-PS Vita transfer program is not coming to the US. I wasn't planning on using it myself (I'm just going to keep my old PSP), but I'm sure some people are going to find this upsetting.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
I also tried the PSP Vita at Gamestop yesterday. love the design and the feel of the system on my hands. i also like how they install and use the touch screen system. the screen brightness and size was the way i expected it to be. definitely an upgrade from PSP/Go. As for getting one, probably not (yet). None of the games being release or promised interest me at the moment.BoringSupreez wrote:I just tried out the Vita at Gamestop a few days ago myself, and I must say that the design is far superior to that of the original PSP.
