Phenomenal movie. I'll stick with the same director and nominate Hero.

Yeah, I loved both of those movies. I was a little upset that they cut out one minor thing from the US release of House of Flying Daggers. Still an amazing movie. That battle at the end was epic

News to me: what'd they cut?

Even though it's so cheesy and 80s, the action is incredible and I think the best I've seen, this or Project A. Those are my fave Jackie Chans. What was the film with the fight scene in the park? That was a good un too.

Image

I went through a phase of buying Japanese DVDs that were horrors or gory. This is also cheesy but the special effects are great, I particularly like the punching through somebody's chest and holding a pumping heart bit. FATALITY.

If you haven't seen this, do it. It's what Mortal Kombat movies SHOULD be. With less dummies. This should make any martial art film list just for the uppercut through a guys neck and out his mouth:

Missing Scene #1 (US release) - This shot was edited out of the US release, probably to get a PG-13 rating. During the fight in the field of wild flowers, Jin slits the throat of a government soldier.

Missing Scene #2 (US release) - This is when Jin finds Mei in the field, after she has been hit with the dagger. Jin holds her in his arms and she whispers to him "Look behind you", then Leo strikes. It's about a 30 second deletion.

I really liked Jackie Chan in Who am I? Excellent fight scenes and crazy stunts. The part where he wrapped the rope around himself and jumped off the tower was insane.

I know there were some killjoys who didn't like it, but...

I love this movie. Jackie Chan vs. Jet Li was so perfect it made me weep in the theater.

Snake in the Eagle's Shadow. Old film but good story....and action. Much better than the stuff that CGI tries to pass off these days...

Recently rewatched Eastern Condors, the end fight is still as good. Wonder if this is exaggerated or really that deadly.
