A paraphrased conversation between me and my wife:
Me: "Why do you say you don't like video games? You play them every day."
Her: "No I don't. I hate videogames."
Me: "On Facebook you play Jeopardy, Scene It, Bananagrams..."
Her: "Those aren't videogames."
Me: "How are those NOT videogames? They have graphics, sound, and require you interact with video images to play a game. If they are not videogames, then what are they?"
Her: "Facebook games."

I've got a good one: The first time I ever tried to explain to my mom what a Role-Playing Game was, she thought I had signed up for Drama Class.

Me and my girlfriend have lots of conversations like that, we're usually just both being very tongue-in-cheek though and having fun.
Anyhow, can we agree to NOT derail this thread into a relationship thread?

I always find it funny when people call the Genesis "The Sega".
They come into work "Hey do you guys sell The Sega?".
At which point I have to ask something like "Do you mean the Master System, Genesis, Saturn or Dreamcast?". The confused stare is always humorous.

Don't forget the Game Gear!
Whenever my mom sees me gaming, she says "Oh, you have nothing to do?" and gives me a list of chores to do. If she sees me reading a book, she leaves me alone.
