Well I totally understand that, but what does it have to do with I Robot? Or were you just referring to Smith in general?

I guess it was just an allusion to what my mental image of him was when I read it. I Robot actually wasn't a bad movie.

Sorry for the confusion; just thinking tangibly.

I gotcha. I figured I had to ask though, your comment made me curious.

Well I wasn't sure if you were comparing I Am Legend to I, Robot, so I was wondering if you might have been suggesting that Will Smith was an inappropriate choice for both parts.

And the whole thought there was because both movies were based on classic SF books. Much less so in the case of I Robot of course, but that's what I was thinking.

I don't know if that made any sense.

Okay, now I understand. Sorry, it's late, and I'm kind of scatterbrained.

I've heard people complain about both movies due to them not being close enough to the books. Having not read the source material, I enjoyed them both. However, I am Legend's theatrical ending was pretty lousy. The DVD has the better one

I am Legend is completely different from the source material. Absolutely nothing is the same in the long run. The novella is much better.
