Do they even have one that goes straight to the model 1? I don't think I've ever seen one. But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.theclaw wrote:To my knowledge the official 32x model 1 connector cable is an adapter. If you have a cable that links 32x directly to model 1, it should not be Sega design.
But anyone here care to really confirm this?
Sega 32x

Re: Sega 32x
Hmm I think it may be the opposite for clones. I haven't seen a clone cable that was an adapter.

Yeah they seem to go for £50-£100 depending on whether or not they have the cables/spacers or a box. Kind of a lot of money for not many games really.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I assume you're talking about a CIB one, because you can easily get a 32x for <$20Curlypaul wrote:I've never heard of such a thing. I'd love a 32x to finish my collection of Sega hardware but they are so damned expensive.
Edit: Woaah nevermind then. I never thought those things would go up in price like they have. I got mine for $20 bucks like 3 years ago.
Re: Sega 32x
I am pretty sure a complete 32X will have both cables for model 1 and 2. Anyone else able to verify?harper wrote:Do they even have one that goes straight to the model 1? After some searching and giving up, i checked amazon and someone has one CIB and said it comes with both cables.wclem wrote:I am pretty sure a complete 32X will have both cables for model 1 and 2. Re: Sega 32x
Complete 32x has a model 1 adapter, no full cable. It requires the model 2 cable to even use. IMO dumb of them.wclem wrote:I am pretty sure a complete 32X will have both cables for model 1 and 2. What I was trying to say is I believe third party replacements always connect 32x straight through to model 1, and that Sega didn't release this latter more user-friendly type of cable.

Re: Sega 32x
hi..i dont have a 32x (no do i really want one), but i saw this and thought that alot of people here might appreciated it.

Model 2 http://shop.gametrog.com/SEGA-32X-to-Ge ... X-CAB2.htm
Seems like they are doing quite a useful service in supplying both of these infamously hard to find accessories.

Cool there it is. The type Sega should have bundled with 32x. But did not!eSPy wrote:hi..i dont have a 32x (no do i really want one), but i saw this and thought that alot of people here might appreciated it.

Re: Sega 32x
Well, as dumb as it seems for them to not have made the direct to model 1 cable, by doing it the way they did, you could buy a 32x and use it no matter what model you had, without having to go out and buy a different cable. Makes sense to me.
