That's fine, but if i have the physical copy of the game, i would like to play it the way it was meant to, yes i could install it to my HDD but takes away novelty. Prii-loader is the way to go!MrHealthy wrote:Loading from a hard drive is actually better. Its pretty easy to set up an app have its own channel, cutting out the homebrew channel step. And since its loading off a harddrive you don't have to have the disc in the machine, load times are faster, and you can load any of your games without getting off your couch.Hazerd wrote:Yeah but if you use prii-loader you can load it from the disc channel instead of having to go into the homebrew channel, then selecting your loaderKDub wrote:I think you're right since I changed a few cIOS. Let me guess, you are against digital distribution.
Re: Sin and Punishment says it has an update but already 4.3
I hate to barge in, but in the interest of not creating a new topic, I was wondering if any body has ever removed their soft mod?
I softmodded my wii again (I had done it once years ago, but an update wiped it out) a few months back strictly to play Xenoblade, but now that its actually coming out here I don't need to worry about it anymore. I want to get rid of the mod now since I have no use for it, but the instructions I'm finding (which are a little brief for my liking) say there's a lot of risk involved in removing mods. I also can't find the original guide I used to install it, so I don't even know what the hell I have.
My system is apparently running version 4.1U, so I'm sorely tempted to just try updating it, but I don't want to brick the damn thing.
So has anybody done it? I'm probably just going to take a crack at it one of these days, but I'm open to advice.

You can't resell digital copies, and collecting digital games isnt any fun.MrHealthy wrote:Let me guess, you are against digital distribution.
May as well invest your money in diapers if you dont care if you can't resell your games!

Once you change the NAND, it's impossible to bring it back to factory default.CFFJR wrote:I hate to barge in, but in the interest of not creating a new topic, I was wondering if any body has ever removed their soft mod?

... what?Hazerd wrote: May as well invest your money in diapers if you dont care if you can't resell your games!
This is what Im getting from that sentence:
I never resell my games. I just don't like too. So somehow thats the equivalent of me spending my money on products I can't and don't want to use?
Im seriously confused now.

Yeah as of right now there is no NAND reflashing tool or anything that I am aware of so there is no way to just hop it back to stock. I'd suggest grabbing the menu updates that can be flashed without erasing your mod so its all ready to play the new release of Xenoblade.Hazerd wrote:Once you change the NAND, it's impossible to bring it back to factory default.CFFJR wrote:I hate to barge in, but in the interest of not creating a new topic, I was wondering if any body has ever removed their soft mod?
