My breakfast was one piece of toast and some cheese flavored off-brand Chex Mix.

Smile: Played Warhammer 40K today. I lost but the game was so close that I still had a blast. Also losing at 40K is nothing new to me!
Frown: I stopped at the gas station to fill up and this guy comes over to talk to me about this Church fundraiser he is doing for a halfway house. I tell him straight up I have no cash, expecting him to leave. He doesn't. Instead he starts talking to me about if I ever have a problem with drugs or alcohol, I can come to this church and they will help me find a relationship with Christ and yada yada.
"I am agnostic but thank you for your concern." I tell him. He then launches into a tirade about how people who do not believe in Christ and yada yada. Seriously, this goes on for a good couple of minutes before I finally say:
"Look. I do not believe as you do. I don't expect you to understand but I do expect you to acknowledge. I do not have a drug problem, nor do I know of anyone who does. We have nothing to talk about and your time could be better spent talking to someone else. Leave me alone, I am quickly becoming offended."
And then he tells me...are you ready for this...that I am very rude.
...in response to how I feel about this, a Haiku:
Christians please wake up
Not everyone is like you
Mutual respect, yo

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
You were a lot nicer than I would have been.

I'd like to live in a world where everyone is free not only to believe in whatever they choose but also to not be harassed about it. The only way to foster mutual respect is to lead by example. In this instance, however, I was sorely tempted to fall short of my own ideals.brunoafh wrote:You were a lot nicer than I would have been.
