I've heard a little bit about Angel Links, from what I understand it's a similar cast and setting, with more fanservice added. I think it's a shorter series too. "Dual- parallel trouble adventures" is new to me though, I'd be happy to engage in most anything Tenchi related.flojocabron wrote: theres another series based on the outlaw star universe. Its called Angel Links. I haven't seen it though. I'm sure someone here has.
You will definetely enjoy El-hazard. Its one of my favorite anime. It's one of the early series that made me a fan.
Tenchi and el hazard are done by the same studio AIC, so they have a similar style.
Once you're done watching these go and find "Dual- parallel trouble adventures" Its a series that has some connections to Tenchi muyo. And its frome the same animation studio.
good stuff

Panty and Stocking.
An anime made by a studio that has really proven their shit when it comes to animation makes a series using a westernized style that is clearly inspired in Invader Zim and Ren & Stimpy? How can I not check it out?*
I'm really digging it. It's fun to watch. It doesn't have a ton of frames but each one counts and the design, colors and poses are all extremely appealing. I find myself not even caring for the plot, it's just fun too look and that's extremely rare. Not that it seems to have a lot of it either.
The only problem is that I'm finding it hard to read subtitles and focus on the poses at the same time because it's busier than it should and while normally it wouldn't be very bad subtitles seem to push it over the line for me. (This probably explains why UPA cartoons had such minimalistic backgrounds)
The fact that they made models for when the monsters also gets infinite cool points for me.
*In an excersise of hipocresy I have only seen one episode of the former and two or three of the later. I suck.

I've never considered myself a fan of anime, I liked FMA and Death Note, but then I saw Bleach, want to know why I haven't been on for a while? Episode 350...

Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendat
Well, I just watched the first 9 episodes of Clannad. This type of show usually isn't my thing, but it was on Anime News Network's top ten. Trust and Betrayal is rated even higher
They've got good taste.
They lay it on real thick with the moe, and while I really love anime art I never got the whole warm fuzzy feeling thing. I have trouble taking the violent girls seriously when they smile so cute! And the two guys never fight back. Guys aren't usually very tough in moe anime, are they?
After I stopped "reviewing" it and just started watching, though, I couldn't stop smiling. It's really a special show - the first 9 episodes, anyway. It was captivating. I sat in the chair not moving at all for like 5 hours watching, and I just now realized it. Yep.

Started watching Rosario + Vampire.
For a fanservice harem show its actually pretty fun.
The only show ive seen that is literally a monster of the week.

Well, I've finished Clannad and I'm working on the Visual Novel now because I couldn't get enough. Honestly, I think I'm going to stop here, or I'll become a moe freak. The characterization and interaction is the strongest I've ever seen in anime, though, as good as something like Trust and Betrayal. The dub is actually awesome and the animation is gorgeous. The way that everyone moves and acts is really expressive and I'm loving it. Found myself rooting for Tomoyo and that's really strange. I'm almost never concerned with shipping or romance or whatever in anime, but I was actually angry that she didn't get more screen time. I wanted to see more of her. That's just a testament to how well everything is written.
Well, Clannad is awesome either way. I don't think I'll ever forget my time watching it.

I've been reading (and enjoying) the Love Hina manga. Anyone know if the anime is any good?
