CDX 32X Mod question

Post by aaron »

is this even possible? i've never thought about it until now, and i lack the skills to make it happen, but is there enough room in a CDX case for 32X parts? common sense tells me no, but my desire to see 32X games in that awesome form factor tells me that there just HAS to be a way. plus, this is just ugly:

oooXXXooo Got the 32x and other slot based expansion hardware working in his genesis 3 so I'm sure it's very possible. However I've tried contacting oooXXXooo about a lot of things and he always keeps details to himself (he seems to want to make profit off of his work). He once commented and congradulated me on building a rgb nes / famicom that rivalled his (Actually mine was better than his it had a much better audio circuit but I didn't design the circuits). Unlike oooXXXooo if you ask me nicely enough and demonstrate that you can understand what I'm talking about I'll gladly explain how I do my mods.

Indeed. There's no room left inside a CDX to add anything really.

The 32X works fine in the CDX, what he meant was actually making a Neptune out of a CDX, which wouldn't be possible since the CDX is extremely cramped inside.

I think he's a fantastic modder but I really do wish he would talk about how he performs his mods. Some of the mods that he's showcased are ones I'd like to list in my thread, but without guides or even hints on his end, there's nothing I can do.

Which is exactly why I don't work on them anymore. :P
