InterAct 24-in-1 Memory Card Unit for PS1 (Stopped Working)

I bought this guy a long time ago for my PS1. I've used up about half of it. Now all of the sudden it doesn't wanna change memory cards. It's stuck on memory card "b3". See, There's two buttons on it. One to select the row of memory cards (a, b or c), and another to select which memory card you want to use on that row (1-8). I haven't had any problems with it up until about a week ago. I hadn't used it for a few months before then. Seems like it's still working fine because I can use my saved files on the memory card it's stuck on. It just doesn't wanna switch units for me.

Anyone know how I'd be able to fix this problem?

I can open the little panel in the back of it where there are three small circle batteries. But I'm afraid that if I put new ones in, it'll erase all of my saved files.

Maybe its the select button on the card not working. You could take it apart and see if the button is making contact. Might be able to do it without killing your game saves. Just in case, back up the memory bank its stuck on to another memory card before you attempt the repair.

Thanks, man. I guess that's my only option. Either that, or it's just done working properly. These 3rd party accessories aren't known to last forever anyway.

You never know, it could be something as simple as the contacts needing a clean.
