Ironing game art!

Post by Retrogamer0001 »

Hi all, I was just looking at my PS2/GC/Xbox game collection the other day and noticed that some of the games, whether from being stacked a certain way or from some kind of other pressure, have art that is pushed in. The result is a very noticable "ring" that mirrors the disk holder inside the game case itself. To me, this is extremely annoying, and I was wondering if using an iron and a soft cloth might be able to restore the artwork. I haven't tested this idea yet because I really don't want to destroy anything, but was wondering what you guys thought first. Thoughts appreciated!

if you iron it with a towel over the top it shouldn't hurt anything. I did this for some Saturn artwork that had gotten wet and it worked fine.

You could stuff them in the middle of a book then put heavy things on top for a while.
