I'd rather have a powerbase converter so I can play Sonic 2.GameMasterGuy wrote:How about we break this into smaller arguments? I'm assuming we're talking about 16-bit wars and not the companies in general, so I'm going to compare two similar add-ons: the Super Game Boy and Master Base Converter.
MBC: $35, plays games from a meh console with no improvements.
SGB: $10, plays games from an amazing console with the improvement of color.
Now kiddies, which do you want?
But really, I have to agree that wasn't the best comparison you could've made. I'm still on your side though. haha

SEGA!
Also, Sonic 2 Master System is my favourite sonic as well. Its the only cart I've held on to since I was a kid and I just recently got the good ending, it was a great day.

Sonic 2 8-bit is a pretty good game, but for every good MS game you could come up with, I could come up with five good GB ones. Sonic 2, you say? Tetris, Super Mario Land, SML2, Mega Man 5, Pokemon Red/ Blue.

Re: Nintendo vs Sega
Master System version is better than the Game Gear version because of the higher resolution. Except the Game Gear wins in terms of color. It has more colors than the Genesis.
Re: Nintendo vs Sega
I personally just prefer the MS version because I'm not crazy about playing on handhelds. But the Game Gear is one of my favorite handhelds of the ones I've personally used (not many). I got rid of mine a while back but I wouldn't mind getting ahold of one that actually has the battery covers and all. hahaarnold_the_bartender wrote:Master System version is better than the Game Gear version because of the higher resolution. Re: Nintendo vs Sega
Why does it have to be "vs"? I own both and love both
Seriously, when I want to play a bit of Sonic, or Phantasy Star, or Shining Force, or Streets of Rage, or Gunstar Heroes, or Comix Zone etc, I have my Mega Drive. When I want to play Zelda, or Mario, or Secret of Mana, or Donkey Kong etc, I have my SNES.
Both have some amazing games.

Re: Nintendo vs Sega
SNES games could've had a hell of a lot faster gameplay if developers actually wrote efficient code, and didn't pretend like they never programmed a 65xx series CPU before. What took them so freaking long with that?
