There is one at $15 buy now/best offer that's been sitting there a bit. The other buy nows are high, but auctions won't go that high. I'm not sure the differences either (hard v normal) but i'd suggest we all play the same mode as their must be some difference.

Well here's what I'm thinking, if the only difference between normal/hard mode is the amount of credits you start with then I'd say it doesn't really matter. If hard mode affects the actual difficulty (take more damage, faster bullets/gameplay, more enemies, etc) then everyone should be a man and play on hard, although we can have two score tables in that case as well.mjmjr25 wrote:Shall we play on normal?

Ok, for all of you that may be new to Axelay, I will be adding my "Curator's Notes", as I did the write up too
The Wii VC version is 800 Nintendo Points ($8 then?)
Trigger Speed: To the player's liking (5 for good fire!)
Difficulty: Normal (I also suggest if someone wants to do Hard, to state your score in that mode as such -- you will get less credits, but unlike the Truxton port, the game will be harder too - more shots, enemies take more hits, etc)
Also be sure to map shot AND missile to your button of choice (B for me). If you use the Pod or Side weapon, it will fire tiny missiles that may not do much, but are plentiful. Also, when using the Bay weapon, you will have a pea shooter shot that is useful for the many tiny enemies in the game.
Remember, this game will LOOP in grand Konami tradition, and extra lives are abundant, so if you complete the game on a credit, keep going!
Finally, just because you get a new weapon each stage, doesn't mean you have to use it. (Macro Missiles are good on ANY stage)

For Irem you need to play Image Fight for PCE it has a really unique scoring system that includes percentage cleared.

I haven't actually... I see Together Retro does that, but then again it has it's own sub-forum entirely so creating multiple threads about it isn't an issue. Other's thoughts on this? I'm fine with it being in one mega thread myself, but a new thread each month would be cleaner. Everything will be cleaner in general once we get the schedule set in stone and stop the votes.
