Ditto.

From the start I (was initially wildly confused, but) considered the gimmick as a tip of the hat to the showboaters of old. He uses the Buddy Rogers and Flair strut and his size and charisma are reminiscent of Dusty. Mind you I'm not placing him on the same level as the greats, not by any means, but it's a character that isn't explored very often in the industry today.

I honestly had absolutely no interest in the Brodus Clay they were promoting; the angry, menacing big guy has been done to death. With this character I actually look forward to his one-sided matches 'cause I know, instead of thoughtlessly and angrily rampaging about the ring, he's going to do something that's actually entertaining and different in contrast to the rest of the roster.

I don't care how good someone is in the ring if they aren't entertaining. There are tons and tons and tons of guys on the indie scene who can put on great matches but are as interesting as mud. That's fine for something like Ring of Honor, or a TNA X-Division, but not on the big stage that is the WWE. Guys like Morrison or Shelton Benjamin just weren't good enough for the WWE. I honestly don't find Evan Bourne entertaining on his own, which is why they always had to have him around someone else to keep people interested. While Morrison had some crazy in ring stunts he could pull of, he just wasn't interesting (remember Mr Ziggles  ) and couldn't get his balls out of Melina's purse. There is no excuse for boring guys like that when guys like Punk, Jericho or Ziggler can be these awesome characters on the mic AND put on great matches. Even Daniel Bryan has been pretty entertaining with his current heel character. Those guys deserve the top spots.

However, it's true that a truly brilliant creative mind can make even boring guys entertaining. Unfortunately, the WWE doesn't have any Paul Heymans and probably wouldn't appreciate them if they did because they had the original and got rid of him. Heyman could get ANYONE over. Creative could learn so much from that guy

As for Clay, I appreciate that he's doing something different, but he's not doing it well in my opinion. He doesn't even look comfortable in this role. It looks very forced. I've never been one to give something a thumbs up just because it's different. That's too easy. If you guys enjoy him though, then I guess that's cool. I just think these guys did this gimmick so much better

and seeing big Brotus Clay come out with pretty, dancing girls just makes me miss another guy who was more entertaining than he is right now

So then I'm the only guy here that's a Morrison fan? I found him to be interesting. He was going for the rockstar gimmick, which I'm a metal fan from way back when, I liked it. He was imitating Jim Morrison. And he was amazing in the ring to boot. However I can't really comment on his mic skills, I rarely ever saw him with one.

Evan Bourne keeps me entertained enough inside the ropes, that I don't need any character from him. He's the best high-flyer in the WWE right now. However there's no denying that some character development probably couldn't hurt. And like Morrison, I have rarely heard him on the mic, so it's hard to judge his mic skills.

So this is the final PPV card...

Singles Match
- John Cena vs. Kane

WWE Championship Match
John Laurinaitis as special guest referee. Vickie Guerrero & Jack Swagger are banned from ringside.
- CM Punk (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Triple Threat Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
- Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Mark Henry vs. Big Show

30-Man Royal Rumble Match: Winner Gets Title Shot At Wrestlemania XXVIII
- The Miz will enter first.

---

Now unless CM Punk and Ziggler put on a 40 minute 5 star classic (which I would LOVE) there must be something else happening? Royal Rumble normally lasts an hour.

I'm predicting surprise entrants in the Rumble as Foley, Lita and Stone Cold. I would love to see Lesnar show up and take out everybody and challenge Taker however.

Foley was already confirmed this last Monday when Larenidus tried to apologize. I'm thinking Undertaker is gonna show up in the Rumble, as well, considering he's supposed to be in Wrestlemania against HHH. Brock Lesnar is a good guess, since his MMA career is over, or at least on temporary hold. Rey Mysterio Jr. has been out for a while too, perfect timing to return in time for Wrestlemania. Maybe Chris Sabin? He's been mysteriously absent from TNA for far longer than his injury should have put him out. And Alex Shelley seems to have gone on with a solo career in the X-Division without him.

What reason does Lita have to show up, though? Or Stone Cold?

Jericho, Edge and Shawn Michaels all did the rockstar gimmick, but they all had the charisma and mic skills to back it up. Hell, even Triple H, though he was always more "metal" than "rock". I mean, he had freaking Motorhead entrance music that referred to him as a king. Morrison didn't have the charisma or mic skills. The guy was amazing in the ring, but zero personality. Even Jeff Hardy, the closest thing I can compare him to, had charisma(though no mic skills). Morrison probably would have gotten the Jeff Hardy push throughout his career though because at one time, WWE loved him. Too bad about him pissing people backstage off the way he did(between his crazy girlfriend Melina and the Trish Stratus incident, Morrison ruffled a lot of feathers).

Evan Bourne = less interesting Rey Mysterio, and I don't even find Ray all that interesting. Still, Bourne might have gotten a big push, if the guy didn't keep failing wellness tests

Not to mention, he's dragged Kofi's career down with his

Now there's an under-utilized talent. Kofi Kingston. Anyone remember this?

I guess we just have different tastes in wrestlers, because I find Khofi Kingston boring as hell. Unless he's wrestling someone I like, I usually FF his matches.

Given what a joke the WWE is making of all their women right now, this made me smile while watching the Royal Rumble

I can't believe she hit Ziggler with her finisher! I don't think I've seen anything like that since Chyna was in the WWE! They would NEVER let any other one of their divas do that to a main eventer. It may mean nothing in the long run, but for one night Karma did the ladies proud IMO

I couldn't believe Kofi's save, I always think when someone does that live in front of thousands and millions on TV/online, WHAT would have happened if he botched it. Kharma was awesome as a return, enjoyed Road Dogg too and Jim Duggan hahaha. Also any time Booker is involved :D

I think that was the first time in a while that there has been two wrestlers in the ring alone for a good 10 minutes at the end.
