This looks like an interesting TPS, even if the voice acting leaves a lot to be desired. The AI consequences bit looks like a gimmick but who knows it might turn out worthwhile.
Definitely one of the more interesting Sega titles on the calendar for the foreseeable future.
Demo is up on JP PSN. I speak next to 0 Japanese but it was easy to get into the game and play. Voice support is kind of cool, even if I was just shouting random phrases to get teammates to shoot things for me and heal me.
The gameplay is a very enjoyable mix between Vanquish and Gears of War. I would say it's closer to Gears of War, but much faster. Blowing limbs off the droids never gets old and it is genuinely creepy when they start crawling for you after their legs are gone.
The game looks very ugly on my SD TV. Seriously, like a PS2 game. I will have to hook it up to the HD set tomorrow.

It looks great.
Yeah, I have been cautiously optimistic about it. It's pretty solid so far. The animation is laughable at some points (mostly your squad). Very "Japanese" in that respect. It has a more refined and light-footed feel than your typical Western Cover-based 3ps.
Clipping the super quick red droids' legs off is pretty rad. They loose their balance and crash into a wall. Then they desperately crawl toward you, Terminator style until you smash them with the butt of your rifle or put a few slugs into their brain cases.
Add: I was just reading neoGAF and one of the Japanese speaking members believes the voice command system is very deep. They were able to order their teammates with commands that were not on the list and the mates understood it perfectly... even insult them.
Sigh, just like Vanquish there's no PC version. Looks like I'll be getting the PS3 version since multiplayer looks promising (and I'll be damned if I'll pay for XBL).
I have myself been keeping a really close eye on this game since it was first announced. I download the JP demo couple of days ago and it was a really solid and fun cover based third person shooter. Although I could not understand one thing they were saying since I don't know any JP I still found it fun as hell. It's crazy to think that the same who came up with super monkey ball then went on to create yakuza " one of my favorite Sega series", now makes what seems to be enjoyable cover based shooter. I hope an English demo comes out soon.
