The "players choice" games were around $30 iirc.
I remember most games being $50-60 when they came out.

Holy crap those cheapo scart splitters on ebay are CRAZY. I get my SNES and Genesis plugged in, and BOTH come on when I just turn on one of them. Crazy thing is that one of them isn't even plugged in.
I'd read about this happening before but I kinda didn't believe it. You'd think something like a Scart splitter would be a pretty straightforward thing...
On the plus side, I'm not getting any interference and everything seems to actually work okay as long as there isn't a game plugged in to anything except the system you're trying to use, but I don't know. Things powering on by themselves doesn't sound safe at all...

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
It is possible that the plug is dirty and needs cleaning, but a lot more likely that there is a busted solder joint. The other option is that one of the leaf contacts in the socket is messed up, but that leaves you with replacing the socket, which also requires soldering anyway.AppleQueso wrote:I don't think I have one, bah.Hobie-wan wrote:Probably jerked the cord and busted a solder joint. That would be a free fix if you already have a fine point soldering iron.
Any other options?

Bah, you can get the full assembly online for like, <$5. I'll just do that.Hobie-wan wrote:It is possible that the plug is dirty and needs cleaning, but a lot more likely that there is a busted solder joint. I think I've rigged up something on here that's got it working that should be okay for the next few days at least.

That might even be all of them. There is a thread on here somewhere were they're trying to get people to scan them.gtmtnbiker wrote:2 years of Dreamcast magazines

I've suddenly come to the realization that I've had my original N64 so long that I'm too attached to part with it. If I were to get a colored N64 like I've been wanting for so long, I'd have to keep both.

Nothing wrong with that.BoringSupreez wrote:I've suddenly come to the realization that I've had my original N64 so long that I'm too attached to part with it. If I were to get a colored N64 like I've been wanting for so long, I'd have to keep both.

I always find it amusing when someone posts a find of the day complete with price, then it goes right into their sale thread, usually with a much higher price.
