Picked up Geograph Seal for the X68000 on eBay for about $9.58. I actually don't have an X68000 (yet), but I figured I should start picking up a few games for it so I don't have to look around for games later.

I saw this wireless controller for only $5.00 at Bookoff, but it was missing the receiver. A different look, I had to get one. Turns out it can also be used as a battery free controller by leaving the USB charge cable attached, "wireless" with a thin USB wire.

The unusual feature is the built in steering bar. It has an on board adjustable sensitivity with a LED readout. There are also side blue lights that kick up the more the bar is moved. Unlock the lever then pivot the handles to steer a car or anything that utilizes left and right directions of the Analog stick. I'm looking at reconfiguring some games, for example maybe an FPS for a spin around affect with the steering bar. Some interesting possibilities.

There are extra programmable triggers and direct diagonal control buttons. Accessories include a PS3 adaptor, USB Charge cable and 2.4ghz wireless receiver. The controller can also use regular Alkaline AA batteries.

TurboGrafx16 HuCard Games - $5.00 Swap Meet
I don't have a TG16, maybe one day I might. Meanwhile kinda neat getting a couple of HuCards. Strange why the credit card style carts never became a popular format until the Nintendo DS and SD cards came out.

Ape Escape Pipo Saru 2001 - $5.00 Bookoff
A Japan exclusive, there is also a single level demo given away at Japan Mcdonalds. The first Ape Escape game I came across that does not use the right Analog stick for a net. Come to think about it, you don't even catch the monkeys. Use a vacuum like Mario Sunshine and no kidding suck their pants off to be washed.

This game is so wacky and has some great levels. Right now I'm on a western themed level. The Apes hide inside cactus and a tornado picks you up to grab the bombs on the cliff above. Bombs are needed to blow open spheres full of dirty pants. Okay it is weird, but a blast and HDAdvance compatible.

GameSetWatch points out an eBay auction for one of the rarest PlayStation 2 games ever: McDonald’s Original Happy Disc, which was given out at McDonalds’ stores in the summer of 2001 and features single-level demos of Parappa the Rapper 2 and Pipo Saru 2001 (Ape Escape Something-or-another in the States).

GSW asks whether or not the in-game demo is indeed the burger-flipping stage from Parappa 2, only with McDonalds’ logos replacing the generic in-game scenery. I can confirm that indeed it is. Because, as you could probably guess just looking at me, I own this.

It’s sheer coincidence, though: you could only get it if you pulled the little paper contest tab off your thing of fries and got the YOU ARE A WINNER message, and one of the guys in my international student dorm in Kanazawa just happened to.

Just picked these two guys up from my local game/comic shop


$1.99 for "Revolution X, Music Is the Weapon - Featuring Aerosmith" (longest game title I've seen in awhile), and $2.99 for "X-Men" on the Genesis. Sadly I still need an AV Cable for my genesis before I can enjoy it's glory.

UPDATE: I just peeled the price sticker off of the other sticker on the Aerosmith game and it revealed that this cartridge was originally located in Spring Park, MN. Talk about a long way away from home!
